Nick’s Wine Choices

Trying to put together a limited list for the takeout menu has been quite a challenge. In the restaurants we can afford the space to produce a lengthy list that covers all angles of any menu the chefs care to produce. Here, I’ve had to be a bit less democratic but still remain relatively versatile.

I felt the only way to do it was by choosing wines that I enjoy drinking. Each of the wines listed are particular favourites of mine, ranging in style and representing excellent quality and value.

From a Grand Marque Champagne to a rich, oaked Chardonnay. From the freshness of the Stoneburn Pinot Noir to the full bodied, silky Carmenère. But my personal favourite is the Clavis from La Mancha. I was fortunate enough to be in La Mancha last November and when we were shown this wine, from a single parcel of land consisting of seven different grape varieties, I knew we had to have it. I hope you’ll agree!
